Katherine Niedzwiadek

Katherine Niedzwiadek is a hybrid artist that graduated with a BA in technical theater and a minor in arts and entertainment management from Dean College located in Franklin, Massachusetts. She developed Dramatic Dragon Designs in 2020 out of the pandemic as a way to showcase the spectrum of works she has created all on one site. All of her best paintings are showcased in the Dramatic Dragon Art Gallery. There is even a place for photography and theatre which is her passion. Dramatic Dragon Designs eventually evolved into a small business on Etsy and even has it’s own Instagram page.

If you take a look at Theatre Props you will mainly see some of the props Katherine had designed and constructed for shows. You can also see her scenic design for Santaland Diaries. If Katherine could create only one kind of art for the rest of her life she would probably choose to create props. This is because you are able to combine all aspects of different techniques and mediums to create whatever it is that is needed for a show. 

The Photography is a gallery made up of Katherine’s shots she has taken on her iPhone and edited some of the shots on her phone or laptop using the app Pixelmator/ Pixelmator Pro which have very similar features to Photoshop. Katherine developed her ability to take better shots because of  her internship working on the PBS show Antiques with Mike Rossi. She has worked on this show for three seasons and she hopes to work on season four helping with the cinematography, lighting, and audio. 

In the Dramatic Dragon Art Gallery we have a spectrum of different mediums that Katherine uses to create her works such as acrylic, oil pastel, and charcoal. There is even a section for Trinkets From Around the World which is another gallery within that is made up of a collection of works that are of little trinkets that Katherine has collected from other countries or were given to her from friends who had traveled to other countries. This section will continue to expand. Finally the last section is digital art which is mainly created using the apps Pixelmator/ Pixelmator Pro and Paper.
